It’s another glorious day and another long drive in Idaho. It seems that all things have become long ordeals when we come to Idaho. We are headed to Moscow right now. (No, not the Russian one, either.) Moscow is also the alma mater of our one and only Ryan Robertson road manager extraordinaire. (The University of Idaho) It’s also the last day of playing shows in Idaho until we head to Montana-not that that is really much different than Idaho. (I’m sure that there are many Montanans and Idahoans that would disagree with that!)
We have another week or so left of this tour, and then it is back to Austin for us all. Unfortunately, at least for the rest of the band, it is a straight deadhead drive back from Bozeman, MT. I, luckily, will be flying out of Boise, ID next week instead. How lucky for me!?!?!?!?!? I don’t think that the rest of the guys are nearly as happy about that as I am! After we are all back in Austin, it will be straight to the studio. (other than our shows.) Some of you may have noticed a handful of new songs at our shows. We are pushing for a release date sometime in late July. Stay tuned…..
Well so much for glorious day, the weather is a little different in McCall than it was in Boise. (yes, it took me this long to right this….. mostly because I am halfway brain dead after St. Patty’s day, and there is way too much to see while driving-I mean riding-down Idaho 55. I forgot it was still winter up here….and then I check the weather in Austin and it says that it has been in the 80’s. What a difference a couple thousand miles makes.
And yes, there is still a lot of snow here.
Until next time,
Mark
